There are three types of COACHING.

1) A Business Career Coach can be instrumental in helping one identify the type of position and industry is the best fit for the employee.  The Coach can use assessment tools or other practices to focus on important values and priorities.  Our background, experiences, and personalities all affect our choices.  If uncertain of your career preference, a Career Coach can help you decipher careers that could suited for you. Through exploring the different careers and possibly shadowing people in those positions, you may determine your choice.  Assessments can sometimes be helpful. Once a choice of careers is made, next is the need to develop your skills in order to excel in that position.  The selection of an effective Executive Coach can continue to help you excel in your chosen career path.

2) Coaching can also be used when an employee is struggling with negative performance or techniques and needs “corrective coaching”.  For those employees who sincerely value their positions with a company and want to succeed, a coach can help them overcome their challenges and rise above them.  Usually the supervisor is involved in deciding whether to offer an employee coaching.  If the employee seems sincere in doing his/her best for their employer, AND he/she possess the appropriate skills, a Coach can help the employee to improve his/her efforts, resulting in positive progress.

However, if the employee possesses a negative attitude or is not interested in improving his/her skills, etc., the Coach can choose to release the employee – OR offer them a better fitting position elsewhere in the company.

EXECUTIVE COACHING is a credible program within Compass Career Management Solutions.  We are very selective about our associates, who must be professional, appropriate and sensitive to match the individual candidates.  Personalities are an important factor in the effectiveness of coaching.  Another very important factor is for the individual candidate to be open and receptive to a professional coach.

3) Another valued Coach provides “Strategic and Confidential Support” to employers or business owners.  These clients need “outside professionals” who can be impartial and knowledgeable as a “decision maker”.  Confidentiality is critical, and the Coach needs to be credible and strategic in Decision Making.

A Coaching Program requires at least a three-month commitment. The Coaching program begins with an introduction.  If there is a personality clash or lack of respect, another coach is chosen.  A commitment is made between the candidate and coach at the first encounter.  Goals are then set in place.  As the third month of coaching begins, an evaluation is noted to determine next steps in their arrangement.
