Bill Crigger

More than forty+ years’ experience in the Fortune 100 corporate, entrepreneurial, and academic environments. Bill has a strong record of contribution in all three settings.

Corporate:

With more than thirty years of Human Resource experience in the retail grocery and distribution fields.  Pertinent prior work experience includes Vice President, Human Resources, Eagle Food Centers, Milan, IL; Director of Training, Food Marketing Institute, Washington, DC; and Director of Human Resources, The Kroger Company – Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, GA Divisions.

Entrepreneurial:

President and Managing Partner, Compass Career Management Solutions and Strategic Partner for WorkDove.

In 1994, Bill co-found and continues to manage a human resource consulting firm specializing in corporate and individual outplacement – career transition assistance, business and individual coaching/mentoring, career strategies, leadership development, training, and strategic planning and succession planning.

The firm’s motto is – “The Winds of Change Bring Opportunity™”.

In 2015, he became a strategic partner with with WorkDove, a software company specializing Performance Management.

Academic:

University of Phoenix – Charlotte Campus – School of Business and Information Technology –  Certified Associate Faculty Member, Faculty Assessment Liaison (FAL),  and for the Charlotte Campus—Faculty Member, FAL, Trainer for the School of Business, and Area Chair-Lead Faculty.

Bill began his academic career as an adjunct faculty member of the University of Phoenix in 2005. As a faculty member, he facilitated a variety of business courses at the senior level most notably Human Resources and the Business Degree Capstone Courses. He currently teaches the capstone course Strategic Management online.

He currently serves as Faculty Assessment Liaison for the School of Business and IT. Additionally, he has been selected to serve as a consultant serving the University’s Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning (CTL) department

Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) – Starting in 2015 and currently, he is a part-time faculty member conducting the SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP Certification Exam Preparation Course.

Community/Volunteer Service:

Bill currently serves as President of his home Owners Association and member of the Architectural Review Committee

Prior Service: President Lake Norman HR Chapter (2016-2017); NCSHRM District VI Director (2018-2019), Board member, Charlotte Mecklenburg Personnel Commission (2000-2008 year); Chair of ACF-DOL Emergency Response Task Force (2005-2007); Board Member, Charlotte Chamber Manufacturers’ Council; Past President of Charlotte Area SHRM; Chair, (2007); NC State SHRM Council Diversity Leadership Area (2010); NC State SHRM Council District II Director (2010 to 2013), President of Crown Point Business Park Association; Stephen Minister and Stephen Leader for his church; Five time President of his Sunday School Class.
